    Hi again 🙂

does anyone know if the ski rental places in either Interlaken or Lauterbrunnen also rent out gear in the summer?

    Many thanks!

    Hi Wallah-

I’ll let the experts “refine” my answer, but I don’t think you can ski in the Jungfrau Region in the Summer.

    Maybe Zermatt.

    Hi Wallah,

There is an outdoor rental shop in Interlaken, it should be open during summer too, but just send them an email to make sure! This is the link of their website:

    Cheers!

I cannot understand why you are proposing to hire ski gear in Interlaken in order to cart it to Zermatt. Zermatt has the summer skiing so will be ready for you to hire. Interlaken probably won’t be as they won’t expect anyone to hire skis in summer.

The ski rental place in Zermatt only opens at 0830 and the slopes at 0630 so tha’t why…

So I take it that means you are getting up at about 3am in Interlaken to travel to Zermatt. Congratulations on your dedication! I’ve skied in summer but only in Norway where the slopes were open all day because of the northerly latitude.

Maybe they will go the night before?

I though about that . If that was the case then they can perhaps hire on arrival the night before

    Indeed.

If that were the case, perhaps they will arrive after the shops have closed?

    Hi Wallah,

Zermatt will have more options for you in terms of ski gear rentals in the summer. There are various shops near the train station that open as early as 8am and some even accept online bookings as detailed here: http://www.zermatt.ch/en/ski/activities/Book-ski-rentals-online

If you plan to ski early in the morning, I would recommend planning your arrival the day before so you can rent your ski gears in advance.

    Safe travel and regards,

    Anna
