Firstly we want to thank you all for the wonderful help this site gave us in preparation for our trip. We are just about to finish a 15 day train hopping tour of this beautiful country. Just wanted to share a couple of things we picked up. The Swiss Travel Pass is so easy to use and has so many benefits. Just jump on a train, bus, ferry and away you go. We printed our passes off at home, folded one copy each in half and laminated it. Cut off the excess and you have an easy and sturdy document to keep in your handbag or manbag. It was no problem to be scanned by the rail staff. Also the SBB App is a wonderful tool as has been said many times. Once you have decided on your journey you can save it as a trip. It enables alarms and easy reference and updates as your journey progresses.

Lastly if you arrive in Lugano on the Bernina Express Bus there is a short funicular from the train station down into the city centre and the lake front is closeby. Free with the STP. We found this the next day whilst wandering around the beautiful city.

We are Leaving With Some Wonderful Memories Which I Will Endeavour To Share At Some Stage. Thankyou Again.
