Will the St Gotthard Pass be open on May 18?

hi, I'm off to Italy on May 18th and would to know if the Gotthard Pass is open before I get to the Goschenen exit :-)

Is there a website that will tell me whether the pass is open?

Last year we came back over the pass travelling north only to discover the pass was closed between Andermatt and Goschenen meaning we had to drive back and go through the tunnel. Finding out in advance would have been very useful.

Any advice would be gratefully received.
