    Hi

I bought the Swiss Travel Pass from Rail Europe India site (http://www.raileurope.co.in) for 8 days validity.

At the time of purchase I gave a start date of 6th October 2017, however my plans changed wherein arrive into Switzerland now on 7th October. My PDF Swiss Travel Pass has the start date as 6th.

Will my Pass Validity start on 6th itself or can I visit a Swiss Rail ticket counter and have them endorse my start date as 7th (upon my arrival)? Obviously I would like the extra day of validity at the 8th day – 14th October.

    Please suggest!

    Regards

    Hi krishnas, welcome to MySwissAlps!

Your Swiss Travel Pass will be valid from October 6 to October 13. This can’t be changed at a ticket counter I think. You’d best contact Rail Europe India and ask about their policy. They’ll probably be able to refund part of the purchase amount and provide you with a new pass starting on October 7. Mind that this may turn out to be more expensive than just paying for your tickets on October 14. If you don’t have long or expensive trips planned for that day, you’d best leave things the way they are. You can find prices using the timetable.

    Good luck!

    Hello, Krishnas…

I asked the same question for my 4 + 1 Travel Pass, and the Rail Europe India said it wasn’t possible. I’ve managed to adjust my itinerary to take care of this.

    Have a Great Trip,

    Dpakdee
