I am travelling to Switzerland on Saturday and I want to buy the Swiss half fare card. Can I buy this at the station in Geneva when I get there? (I’ve left it too late to order it on line because it says that Swiss rail need three days to process it).

Is there any way that I can pay for this and just download it on line before I leave?

    Hi Ernest,

Since you’re in the UK you would be able to get it for a slightly lower price through http://www.swisstravelsystem. co.uk, but it’s indeed too late now for online ordering. Even printing it yourself, which is possible, requires a few days of processing time. So if you plan to use the Swiss Half Fare Card on Saturday, you can best get it in Switzerland.

    Enjoy your stay!

<<“So if you plan to use the Swiss Half Fare Card on Saturday, you can best get it in Switzerland.”>> At any staffed railway station, including Geneva.

Thank you, Annika, and ‘Slowpoke’ . This will be the first time that we have been to Switzerland,so it’s a new experience for us. (We’re celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, I can’t believe it, and I wanted to see the mountains and to do some train journeys there). We’re looking forward to it.

Go to the Bernese Oberland. They speak British there. The English discovered the area over 100 hundred years ago.
