Swiss Half Fare Card & Jungfraujoch only
A traveler rented a car for a 5-day trip from Zurich to Geneva but only has 3 full days to explore. They plan to visit Jungfraujoch but are uncertain if getting the Swiss Half Fare Card is worth it, considering their limited time and need for train tickets. They seem worried about navigating the ticket purchasing process.
- Consider buying the Swiss Half Fare Card if you plan to take additional train trips beyond Jungfraujoch, as it can save you money.
- You can purchase the Swiss Half Fare Card from multiple online retailers, and they all offer similar prices, so choose the one that's most convenient for you.
- Buying tickets online ahead of time can save you time at the station and provide a backup in case you misplace your card.

Dear team,
I have rented a car from Zurich to Geneva just for 5 days trip but only have 3 full days there. I think it’s good to just visit Jungfraujoch to see the scenery spot. I will drive and park to Interlaken Ost then take the train for round trip up via Lauterbunnen and down via Grindelwald. The rest of trip to scenery spot or city visit is driving and not sure if Swiss Half Fare card is worth to purchase or I just purchase the train to Jungfraujoch is good enough.
Your recommendation is highly appreciated. Thanks!
p.s. : I found it’s a bit complicated to understand the purchase system and really afraid of getting something wrong or paying high value.
