does swiss rail do a 2 for 1 swiss half price railcard ? as it 99% probable that whenever we visit switzerland it will be as a couple.I am contemplating buying a 3 year half fare card, however i am 64 this march and my wife is 66 so not sure if there is either a 2 for 1 swiss half fare card.. or a senior citizens special price card ??

Hi fishermanrob. Currently there’s no such offer. Senior discounts aren’t available either. If you plan to return to Switzerland regularly during the next few years, the 3 year Half-Fare Travelcard would still be a good deal.

Re purchasing 2 half fare cards, i have as you suggested, purchased (or in the throe’s of purchasing, i have sent my application and payment off) 2 half fare rail cards for 3 years.
Could you advise roughly how long it should take to get them back,as were coming over on 21st march. this year..
