Hi, l am travelling in August staying in St Moritz, Lauterbrunnen, Zermatt, Lucerne and Zurich, the trip is for 14 days and l have purchased the 15 day swiss pass. l was wanting to know do l have to reserve any seats or purchase any tickets online or in advance before l arrive in Switzerland for the popular mountain trips, for example : rigi, jungfrau, gronerat, titlis or do l just show my ticket and pay the extra where applicable. As August is a very busy time are seats always available.

You don’t need to buy tickets in advance but note option for reservations for Jungfraujoch.

No, you don’t need reservations for most of these trips: myswissalps.com/train/ reservations. Seat reservations for Jungfraujoch are optional indeed: myswissalps.com/jungfr aujoch/tickets. One way to beat the crowds is to travel up in the early morning.

You can get your discounted tickets either at the spot upon showing your Swiss Travel Pass or arrange for them online. You’d best study the “Tickets” tabs at each of our attraction pages, e.g.:
