There are two funiculars in Lugano. One at Monte San Salvatore and one ar Monte Bré. Try googling them. Oh and of course if you visit the lake front in Lugano the quickest way to get down to the city is the funicular (en.m.wikipedia.org/wik i/Lugano_Città–Stazion e_funicular).
The only cog wheels on the way back to Lucerne I can think of are Göschenen to Andermatt and the one at Stoos but they are well off your return route. From Lucerne the funicular at Bürgenstock is closest. Cog wheels at Rigi (both sides) are free with STP. Alpnachstad to Pilatus won’t be running.
You really rock! So happy t know about this. Would you know f riding to those includes in STP? 😁
The Lugano city one is free the other two Lugano one’s 50%.
