    Hello,

Me and my wife along with our daughter (5.5 yrs.old) will be visiting switzerland in first half of July-2018. Starting from 5-July, planned itinerary is as below; please suggest any better changes if necessary..

We have booked out STP for the trip.

Day-1 (5-July) : Arrive at Zurich Airport from Dubai at 06:25 am… Kindly suggest suitable itinerary for this day as our Hotel stay is in Lucerne for 5th-July night. Also suggest alternative way to keep our luggage before check-in to our hotel at Lucerne.

Day-2 (6-July) : next 3 nights (6, 7 & 8-July nights) we are going to stay in Interlaken-west. Please suggest suitable itinerary for this day before we head to interlaken for our Hotel Check-in and stay.

Is it possible to cover Zurich City, Lucerne City, Mt. Pilatus, Mt. Rigi, Mt. Titlis on 5th-July and 6th-July before going to Interlaken?

Day-3 (7-July): Mt. Jungfraujoch on this day. Is it possible to do anything extra on this day? Please suggest …

Day-4 (8-July) :Visit the Maison cailler Chocolate Factory near Broc along with Golden pass train Journey between Zweisimmen & Montreux. Please suggest suitable itinerary.. Is it possible to cover both in a day and back to Interlaken-West?

Can I interchange Day-3 and Day-4 travel plan? What would you suggest? Is it necessary to reserve the train seats for Golden pass line between Zweisimmen & Montreux.

Day-5 (9-July): Train reservation done for Glacier Express from Brig to Chur. Stay at Chur.

Day-6 (10-July): Train Reservation done for Bernina Express from Chur to Tirano and Bernina Express Bus from Tirano to Lugano. Stay at Lugano.

Day-7 (11-July): Head to Zurich to catch the train (TGV Lyria Train) departing Zurich station at 15:34 pm for Paris.

Your valuable suggestion will be highly appreciated ,

    Thank you in advance,

Hi YPP and welcome to MySwissalps!

We don’t create itineraries here, but are happy to help you with information to make your own. 🙂

Day 1: You can store luggage at Zurich main station if you want to explore Zurich before going to Lucerne. But as you are only in Lucerne 1 night I’d go straight there and store luggage at your hotel. For things to do in Lucerne look here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/lucerne/activiti es

Day 2: See link above for ideas in Lucerne

Day 3: Yes, Jungfraujoch is most likely a 1/2 day. I’m not sure you interests but have a look at this activityguide for the area: https://www.myswissalp s.com/jungfrauregion/a ctivities

Day 4: Yes, you can do that in one day. You can plan out the train travel/schedules with the Swiss railways timetable here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable

Let us know if you have more questions!

Thank you Mr. Lucas for your guidance,

Does the STP is also valid for local city transports ( like Zurich, Lucerne, Interlaken, Lugano etc.) as well?

One more thing is it necessary to do the reservations for Golden pass train Journey between Zweisimmen & Montreux?

    Thank you,

    Hi YPP,

Yes, the Swiss Travel Pass covers city transport as well (most cities). Look at the map here and see which cities are included: https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisstravelpass/ validity

I would reserve in the summer between Zweisimmen and Montreux yes. https://www.myswissalp s.com/goldenpass/packa ges
