Hi Switzerland experts!
We are planning a trip to Switzerland and would appreciate some help with deciding on destination. We are keen hikers but are in need of some sunshine and good weather for this trip.
Ticino will likely give us more sun hours en less rain chances but is it equally impressive for challenging walks as areas around Adelboden, Kandersteg, Fiesch, Bosco Gurin etc?
And what base would you recommend in Ticino/Tessin?
Many thanks!
Any suggestions more than welcome!

This site below will help you decide! Or not, there are frankly too many choices. Personally, I adore Ticino. We spent 8 days in a lake front fewo in Locarno last October, the train/bus/boat options to get to trails made it super easy to go somewhere different every day; we bought a local version of the Swiss Pass and used it multiple times a day. However, we're not into "challenging" walks, so your mileage may vary. I really don't think you can go wrong anywhere in Switzerland, sunshine is easy to travel to from many locales, depending on the time of year. Have a wonderful time!
