Hi shirshendu,

1./2. You will travel for free to Grindelwald, and from Wengen on the way back. The other legs are 25% discounted. You can only buy this discounted ticket locally, at any staffed train station in Switzerland.

3. Reservations are possible from Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch, please see www.jungfrau.ch.

While I would normally recommend to just buy your ticket on the day and not book seats, August 1 is the National Holiday, so it could be busy if the weather is good. You may want to buy your ticket, and optionally the reservation, one day ahead of time. That's just to be sure they won't be sold out. Please see here.

All of the above assumes you have a Swiss Travel Pass, not a Swiss Pass.

Hi shirshendu,

The tickets are not flexible, so you'd better buy them when you are sure about the weather.

thank you so much.

while checking for the booking, I have encountered some doubts...please clarify.

1. I have swiss travel pass. i have 2 kids who are 8 yrs and 12 yrs. I understand that my kids are covered under family card. or we need to take separate family card for kids? to avail discount on seat reservation for the kids on this route from kleinn schedigg to jungfrau.

2. if i take ticket from grindelwald to jungfraujoch, do u think again seat reservation need to be done separately for route from kleine schedigg to jungfrau

Hi shirshendu,

1. The Swiss Family Card allows your kids to travel along for free everywhere you go with your Swiss Travel Pass. Seat reservations are not discounted for them. If you want those, you need to pay for every traveler.

2. The seat reservations are optional and it does not matter through which route you reached Kleine Scheidegg.
