Train tickets from Zurich to Murren

    I’ll be arriving in Zurich on June 26. Will take the train to Murren on June 27 and then back to Zurich on July 6. Will I need to buy the tickets in advance or will enough seats be available upon my arrival in Zurich to purchase then.

    Tickets don’t sell out on Swiss trains and you generally do not need (and on many trains can’t make) seat reservations. You can buy tickets on-line via the SBB Timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) or the SBB mobile app in advance or at the station on arrival.

    A ticket covers the route for the day of travel so you don’t need to worry about catching a specific train or breaking the trip somewhere along the way.
