Hello Agrawalm and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

The best end to start the Golden Pass Line (http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass) will depend on which end best fits on with your overall itinerary. You can go either way. You can even start it in the middle as there are at least three trains involved in the route. You can do different parts on different days. It is a very adaptable route like that.

The Montreux to Zweisimmen (or reverse) leg is generally recognised as the “panoramic” section.

Yes, I agree either direction is good. There is a preference for coming into Montreux from Zweisimmen I think (traveling down the hillside overlooking Lake Geneva can be quite nice).

Thanks ,need some more help. I am visiting Switzerland for 6 nights, entering from Geneva on 18/5 and moving to Paris on 24/5. My Original stay was in Lucerne for 4 nights and Zurich – 2 nights. I want to visit Mt Titlis, Jungfrau on Cog Wheel train. Also want to do three train journeys Golden Pass, Glacier Express and Gotthard Express. So will it be possible with my stays at Lucerne and Zurich or need to change my stays. Can you help with itinerary.

    Hi Agrawalm,

I woul do the Jungfraujoch from Wengen or Grindelwald as it is quite a trip from Lucerne. From there it’s also easy to travel to Paris. I would then skip Zurich.
