Traveling from Austria to Wengen by RV

    We will be renting an RV (approximately 24 feet long/7.3 meters) and coming from Austria to Switzerland the week of May 28. We would like to visit Wengen, but worry about parking the RV. What is the best way to get to Wengen? Find parking in Interlaken and then take a train to Wengen? Will we need to worry about road closures due to snow? Thank you!

    Hi Becky, and welcome to MySwissAlps,

    Wengen is a car free town. I would indeed advise to park in Interlaken or Lauterbrunnen and take the train up to Wengen. Not sure if the latter is suitable for RVs. It’s a multi storey car park and the maximum height is 2.5 meters.
