Travelling from Lucerne to Jungfrau

HI,

We will be 3 travelers, we have booked our accommodation in Lucerne, and we would like to travel to Jungfrau for the day, we will be hiring a car, and would like to know how long would the drive be, and if it is possible to travel all the way to Jungfrau with the Car. If not what is the closest place we would be able to get to with the Car, should we have to take a train the final distance. We will be in Switzerland 1 week of August.
