trek at May – looking for recomendatiom

    Hello Im planning a 7 hiking days at the swiss alps. Its the first time for me hiking in swiss and there for looking for recommendations. I have 8 days in the beginning of May. thnks for any info. Idan

    Hello Idan, welcome to MySwissAlps!

    Can you provide more information? What is it that you have in mind? Hut to hut trekking will not be possible in May, because the trails at higher elevations will still be covered in snow. But you can do village to village hiking or daily hikes from one base town. Most hiking suggestions on this website assume the latter.

    Do you prefer any region? If not, the Bernese Oberland and the Lucerne region would be worth to explore online and see if you like it. May is perfect to hike along the lakes and in the valleys. You can find many trails on our website, and more will be added soon.
