Hi Micalj,

Many thanks for that extensive report! It has been a very active trip, with lots of travel from Zurich to the various destinations as you said. You saw quite a lot of the country, and had good weather too, looking at your images.

As for your question about reserved train seats: this should be indicated, normally a display near the windows or luggage rack shows which seats are booked and for which segment. If there’s no information it’s up to you if you give up your seats, ask the other travelers to show their reservation, or ask the conductor.

Thanks Arno. Good suggestions. The reserved car on the Golden Pass line had the 8 1/2 x 11 notices on the windows facing out, so we knew about that. The other incident there was no indicator at the seats, so asking to see the reservation would have been a good idea. They may have just had the right seats in the wrong car.
