Trip to Geneva from Montreux by boat in winter

    We are planning to visit Geneva from Montreux on 25th March 2019, my first preference is to travel by Boat, but not able to find the time table. can you pl help? is it possible to travel by boat and return by rail.

    Hi Ajittipnis,

    You can find details and a link to the Lake Geneva boat schedule on our Lake Geneva page here: http://www.myswissalps.com/bo atlakegeneva

    Schedules are quite limited in March (still a winter schedule). You could travel between Lausanne and Nyon or take a tour of the lake from Montreux instead.

    Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) is a very big lake, so the boat service is split in to the western and eastern halves of the lake. Even in mid summer there is no direct boat from Genève to Montreux, it would take over 5 hours

    Furthermore, in March boats are very limited and only run on Sundays and public holidays
