UK to Glacier Express - nearest airport?

I am looking to travel from London Heathrow to The Glacier Express. Please advise the closest airport?

When?

The Glacier Express does not run all year.

The nearest airport to the Glacier Express may well only handle small planes.

Are you flying your own plane, renting a small plane, chartering a flight or using commercial flights?

If it is not a commercial flight, or is a small plane, you might look at Samedan (Airport Engadin.)

Perhaps you want the nearest airport that handles regular commercial traffic. Probably Zürich, maybe Geneva, maybe Milano Malpensa..

Which end of the Glacier Express might be your starting point?
