Is it feasible to go into Interlaken around 6 or 7 to eat or just walk around then head back to Wengen about 10 pm?

Is there a central area in Interlaken to go like a square?

    Hi
Yes Interlaken is spread out along the main street running from Interlaken Ost to Interlaken West. There is more activity on the Interlaken West end.
The last train for Wengen leaves Interlaken Ost at 10:02 pm alsthough there is a bus connection at 11:04 pm

If you take the bus back, would the train still run to Wengen from Lauterbrunnen? I assume it would have to.

    Hello magentaspeaker,

You can check the Swiss Timetable for times of departure and arrival. As far as I can see it now trains from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen will still run after midnight (last connection: 02h40 – 02h54).
