Hello,

I have downloaded the schedule for 2016 and am trying to figure out if it is possible to return a rental car at the Zurich airport in the morning on a Friday (30.9.16) and then make the Golden Pass train 2119 at 12:25? Not sure what the code is for the Zurich airport, I just see Zurich HB 660 on the schedule.

Also the days of the week the trains run, I am having trouble finding where that is on the timetable.

Thank you for the help.

Ellen

Welcome to MySwissAlps Ellen!

What you probably need is the timetable (see here) and the correct "via-towns" (see here) so you can get the schedules for the correct route from the timetable.

This should allow you to plan your trip in detail. If any questions remain, please feel free to let us know.

Thank you so much for the quick reply!

When I use the timetable links you provided I see the 3123 train running that day (30.9.16) but not the 2119? I believe the 2119 is the only one with the VIP seats?

Thanks again for the help,

Ellen

Hi Ellen,

The 3123 departs from Zweisimmen at 14h25, and the 2119 at 12h25. Both are running that day, and the 2119 has VIP seats. But you'll have to take the 5:40 train from the airport in order to travel along the entire Golden Pass line and make it to Zweisimmen in time. I'm not sure if you had that in mind or if you can even turn in a car that early.

If you only want to cover the leg from Zweisimmen to Montreux you can depart up to 2 hours later.

Thanks Annika,

I have already decided that is too much for one day after looking at the train schedule. I'll keep looking around and planning.

Thanks for the help

Ellen
