How to get to Fiescheralp
Fiescheralp is the mid station of the cable car to the Eggishorn. See here for how to get there.
Traveling back from Riederalp
From Riederalp, a cable car takes you down to the train station of Mörel. You can take the train to Fiesch/Oberwald or Brig from there.
The route
The cable car takes you to the winter sports area of Fiescheralp. You need to leave the village in the direction of Bettmeralp. The main route to Bettmeralp continues straight on just outside the village, but it is more fun to take an alternative path. This path is a bit more difficult. You need to follow the sign to the Bettmerhorn. Keep to the left from now so that you will not walk to the Bettmerhorn. A small lake shows up as you stand on a hill. After a short descent, you will pass the lake on its left bank. You will cross a gondola lift route and afterwards there are several trails to get back to the main path to Bettmeralp. Then you enter the winter sports village of Bettmeralp. Keep following the main road. The bare landscape makes room for woods as you arrive at your final destination Riederalp.
Aletsch glacier
You can't see the glacier during the walk, but you can make a side trip to the Aletsch glacier from Riederalp. There are several lifts going up the mountain. There's a lift from Bettmeralp too.
