These are the hotels we recommend. Some are located directly along the shore and offer rooms with a view of Lake Brienz. Other have a convenient central location, friendly pricing or outstanding traveler reviews.
Brienz is a small town along the lake that makes a great base to explore the region. There are shops, restaurants and good train connections to Interlaken. Do you prefer a more lively place with lots of shops and restaurants and good train connections to other regions? Then pick a hotel in Interlaken. Interlaken is not directly at the lake though.
We're confident that you'll like this hotel, just like many other guests. It's conveniently located in the center of Brienz. There are lake view rooms, a restaurant, bar and wine cellar.
This 19th century hotel was built on a very romantic spot in the forests just above Lake Brienz and near the Giessbach waterfall. This relatively large hotel offers rooms and suites with restored antique furniture, a restaurant, terrace and bar. We recommend to arrive and depart by boat for a perfect experience! You can get there using the funicular from the boat dock. Altitude: 662 m.
This comfortable accommodation in the outskirts of town has its own restaurant and wine cellar. We included this hotel because of its excellent reviews!
We selected this lakeside hotel in the center of Brienz because of its pretty location: you can have dinner at the terrace on the lake. Dishes are prepared with local products whenever possible. The hotel offers Ayurveda (an Indian wellness treatment) as well as yoga courses.
The nice little village of Oberried is conveniently located along the shore of Lake Brienz, between Interlaken and Brienz. In a short walk from Oberried's rail station you'll find Hotel Rössli, offering rooms with private bathroom, balcony and views towards the mountains or the lake. You can dine in the in-house Swiss-Italian restaurant, where children's menus are served too. Kids can also enjoy themselves in the game room.
We're sure you will like the convenience of this location: across the train/bus station, and next to the Brienzer Rothorn cogwheel train. The boat trips on the lake start here as well. Be sure to book a lake side room to watch the boats and the trains go by. A lively view!
An affordable place to stay on Lake Brienz. It's not in the town center, but as usual in Switzerland, still easy to reach by public transport. There's a shared garden to relax and enjoy the view across the lake to Interlaken.
