  • Hiking time: 2h00

About this trail

The Lavaux vineyards are situated on terraces on the sunny northern slopes of Lake Geneva. They are best explored on foot. The unique terrain is registered as UNESCO World Heritage since 2007. Apart from the views of the lake, you’ll enjoy passing small picturesque villages like Châtelard, Aran, Grandvaux, and Riex.

This walk can be done all year round (if the weather allows it), but the best time is late May to late September. Note that there’s not much shade. In summer it can be very hot here, so be prepared for that.

Tip: if you have time and energy left, you can continue walking to Corseaux. Before you start, you can explore the historical town center of Lutry.
