3 of us together with my hubby and son will be arrived Zurich Airport by 6:10am. Thinking of visiting attraction place in Zurich or near by and overnite here before go to Interlaken on the next day for 4 days stay.

    1. Please advice what are the best places we should go by using Eurail pass for a day in Zurich.
    2. Kindly guide me how to go to Rhine Falls from Zurich Airport by using Eurail pass.

    Thank you in advance.

Hi Ziela. The route from Zurich to the Rhine Falls is described here. Tips for a day in Zurich are mentioned here. There are several Eurail Passes and I’m not sure which one you’ll use. But on a free travel day, roughly the same conditions go for all Eurail Passes that cover Switzerland. The exact travel bonuses and a map showing what’s included can be found on any of the Eurail pages, such as this one. For example, the ride to Uetliberg and a boat trip over the lake would be covered on a free travel day.

We will be using Eurail Global Pass (because our trip to 3 country for 11 days). Will be arrived Zurich on Sunday, 22nd Sep 2013.
Looking at SBB Online timetable, there is no train to Rhinefall on Sunday. Is it the place is closed on Sunday?
    Kindly advice. TQ

    Hello Ziela,

No, it’s not closed on Sundays. You will have to fill out Schaffhausen as place of arrival.
I hope this helps. Have a nice trip,

    Hi Olga,
yes, now I got it. Thank you so much.
The boat is the best way to see the falls but is the boat ride covered by Eurail Global Pass?

    Hi Ziela,

The boat to see the falls is not covered. It is not mandatory though; you can see the falls from the observation decks too. Cruises on the Rhine between Constance and Schaffhausen are 50% reduced.

    Hi Arno,
    Thanks the feedback.
BTW, 50% reduced if using Eurail Global Pass? How much it cost?
