We are purchasing a Swiss Rail Pass (8 Days in a month) and were wondering if Jungfrau is included in the Pass – and if not what is the cost for Jungfrau. Also, travelling from Brienz to Florence – can we use Bernina Express -and where from and to?

    Hi MaryW,

I assume you mean the Swiss Travel Pass Flex, right? The ride to Jungfraujoch is free to Wengen or Grindelwald, then 25% discounted. You can see so on the map. A ticket from Wengen to Jungfraujoch and then down to Grindelwald is CHF 177 without discount.

Note that you will only get a discount if you use a travel day. To get discounts on non-travel days as well, you need the Swiss Travel Pass Flex Combi. Information is on the above linked page. Be sure to buy the pass online as that’s cheaper.

You can travel from Brienz to Florence via the Bernina Express, but not in one day. The train departs 8:32 AM from Chur. Theoretically you could travel via the Bernina line with regular trains later on the day, but the whole journey would take 13-14 hours with quite some changes. Not very pleasant I would say. So either do it in two days, or pick another route.

    Was this useful?
