Can I use the Swiss Transfer Card to go from Zurich airport to Zermatt and then go from Zermatt to Locarno on return?

Hello Jmtish, and thanks for your first post on MySwissAlps!

You mean the Swiss Transfer Ticket, right? Zurich airport to Zermatt is covered. Zermatt to Locarno is not covered because Locarno is not a border station.

There is a way around that though: Lugano is considered a border station. So you could fill out Lugano as your destination. Then you can either stop traveling in Locarno (if you travel via Domodossola), or get off in Bellinzona (if you travel via Visp and Göschenen) and buy a regular ticket Bellinzona – Locarno. I’d recommend to read our Swiss Transfer Ticket page and download the map. Once you’ve done that this will hopefully make sense.
