<<“Hi,We are a group of 6 people (3 couples) in their early 30’s on a first visit to Switzerland. we are not looking to Ski for sure. Lookingto do Mt Titlis, Mt Pilatus, Bern, Zermatt, Montreux, Zurich andpossibly Geneva. And I do realize that some places might not beaccessible due to Winter so looking to make the most of what we can”>>
Luzern would be a good base for Mt. Titlis, Mt. Pilatus, Zuerich and Bern. I like Zuerich to stay in, but it is not in the Alps, and the pleasures are more in culture and restaurants. The old ton is nice to walk around. Some feel it as not as interesting as cities such as Luzern. Probably true.
Montreux could be a base for Montreux and Geneva.
Both cities offer a lot on their own, and have interesting things to do in the surrounding areas.

Zermatt is accessible from Montreux by rail – about 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 hours.

If you want all the details buried in the menus of the timetable, I believe that the desktop version is more useful than the smartphone version.

You might consider staying there also.
Late March is still Winter in the high Alps.
You did not mention the Jungfrau region, which will also be full of Winter and skiers. Even without hiking (most trails are closed) or skiing, there are some spectacular sights to see.
However, then you might begin to spread yourself thin, if you simply add that to your list.
Late March might be enough into Spring for somepleasant walks in low altitude regions, especialyl on sunny sites such as Montreux.

About Hiking – have not had a chance to look at it but would like to do some which are not too extreme. Please suggest. Thanks. “>>
