    Hello,

We will be traveling from Zurich to Jungfrau region and then on to Italy. My wife and I plan to purchase 6 day BO regional passes and individual tickets outside the pass validity area. We plan to purchase junior cards for our three kids (14, 9, and 9). Do the kids need a junior card for travel outside the BO regional pass area AND another junior card for areas within the pass area? The BO regional pass website makes it seem like they need two different junior cards.

    Danke!

    Hello Mike

The Junior Travel Card is NOT valid with the Regional Pass Bernese Oberland. That’s my understanding. But you could always email SBB to see if things have changed. See this thread – http://www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/help-with-childrens-co-travelcard-train-fares which is actuall about the Tell Pass but has some relevance to your question.

The BO Pass website clearly states:

    • The Junior Card and the Children’s Co-Travelcard are not valid.
    • You need a Child Regional Pass for CHF 30.00.
