    Hi-

1.Does the Co-op have a large selection of take out foods?

    2. Can you get take out from the restaurant in the Co-op or do you need to be seated?

We will be there for 3 weeks and just anticipating that some evenings we would prefer to eat in our hotel room. Thank you.

There are heaps of “take-out” options. As well as Co-op and Migros keep an eye out for the food halls in Manor department stores. They are not as widespread but great quality. There are plenty of “take-out” restaurants/ cafes / bakeries as well. Most stations have food shops. You won’t go hungry. 😉

    Hi TMKA,

There are various supermarket chains in Switzerland. The main ones are listed here: http://www.myswissalps.com/aboutswitzerland/culturehistory/food (scroll all the way down). Each offer a variety of ‘take out’ food. Some offer bigger selection than others.

You can certainly buy a take-out from a Coop restaurant. You probably have to bag the food yourself because the restaurants are usually self-service. Just look out for the take out containers.

    Regards,

    Anna
