Hi Agniman,
Thank you for your kind words.
To answer your question, no it is not compulsory to reserve seats on the Golden Panoramic trains. There are regular trains travelling on this route as well. However reservations are recommended on the popular Montreux to Zweisimmen leg and if you wish to enjoy the special features of this scenic train. If you prefer to book a seat, you can do so online here and print the booking confirmation at home.
Please find more information about the Golden Pass train, including detailed routes and how it differs from a regular train, here: http://www.myswissalps.com/goldenpass

Madam I found from sbb website https://www.swiss-pass.ch/swiss-pass/
on FAQ Swiss Travel Pass
Is the Swiss Travel Pass valid on Swiss Panoramic Railways?
Your ticket price is included in the Swiss Travel Pass but seat reservations are compulsory and a supplement must be paid non most routes. It is possible to pay for a class upgrade if you have a 2nd class Pass but would like to travel in 1st class non one of these services.
The example I given Gstaad to Zweisimmen is in between Montreux to Zweisimmen leg.In same route some trains starting with “PE” and some trains with “R” .The file i attached showing Train number starting with “R” but with status golden pass panoramic but not all the trains whose number starting with “R” have not the same status. i am again attaching the file.
Thanks …. in advance

Hi Agniman,
That’s not the SBB website. The official websites of the SBB are http://www.sbb.ch and https://shop.switzerlandtravelcentre.com/#/en/home (their website for tourists to buy passes).
The text on the website you found only means that in case you need a reservation, it is not included in the Swiss Travel Pass and needs to be purchased separately.
Trains in Switzerland rarely require a reservation. If they do, it will be indicated in the timetable. The name and type of the train do not matter. In your case, that train only requires reservations for groups. So you don’t need a reservation, assuming you won’t be traveling with 10 or more people. It is a popular route though, so if you are traveling in high season, a reservation is recommended to be sure you will get good seats (that would also be indicated in the timetable). Please also see http://www.myswissalps.com/goldenpass/tickets and http://www.myswissalps.com/train/reservations for further details.
Enjoy the ride!
