    Hi Guys,

My wife and I are looking into planning a holiday to Zermatt next winter after covid has passed. We are travelling from Ireland and we had though of two different ways of getting into the Alps. One, going to Paris and taking a train to Zermatt, the other flying from Dublin into some of the swiss airports.

We had thought the train from Paris as we have never been on a really long train journey and would like to have the experience. So I have been trying to get as much information on times, routes, companies and costs. I have been finding it hard to find a website for all the correct information. Also the rail network in the Alps. The length of time it takes to get from Paris to Zermatt, will determine if we take it or fly. We don’t mind flying home.

We would be staying in Switzerland for approx a week and would be looking to take the Glacier express and explore the lovely towns and villages.

I would be grateful if someone could provide some information on the trains from Paris to Zermatt and what other things to do or see while in the Alps.

    Many thanks,

    Francis
