Hi Tom,
Don’t trust the weather forecast! I was there from April 28 for 14 days and although the forecast was grim, it often meant an hour – few hour window of rain and then beautiful clear skies 85% of the time.
I recommend the weather app ‘YR’ vs. Iphone or Android weather, it was much more detailed and accurate than any other forecast.
Just remember to check webcams before going up to high elevations so you don’t waste a trip up a mountain and not be able to see anything.
Safe travels!

I’m in Switzerland. Arrived 21st.
No problems with rain on any day since then.
However, there were thunderstorms in the very late afternoon or evening on sevral days, which cause the day to be “blacklisted’.
This site is generally accurate:

Hi Tom,
Be sure to read through our what to do tabs on our town information pages for ideas. Zurich and Luzern have the most opportunities for indoor activities (museums etc).
As others mentioned it rarely rains all day here. You might get a morning or evening of rain (or less) so it is entirely possible to still do many outdoor activities.
