I have just read your promotion for the Swiss Motorway vignettes and would like to post a note of caution. The company concerned charges a 10% premium for purchasing the vignette in addition to a large £9.50 handling fee. This means that at todays rates, WITH the 10% discount  it costs £42.75 plus the wait for it to be posted. If you buy at the border at the time it still costs CHF 40 which at todays rates is only £35.15. This is nearly 20% more. It’s so easy to buy that purchasing in advance has no advantages. The e vignette is even more ! Hope this helps someone. Regards Roger

Hi Roger,

Thanks for your perspective. You are right, at the border or at a gas station before the border you’ll be able to buy the vignette for the base price of CHF 40. The site vignetteshop.co.uk is for people who prefer the convenience of having it dealt with before the trip starts. People willing to pay more for the service can save 10%. Others can buy en route. I have done both on different occasions.

Perhaps the other promotions at https://www.myswissalps.com/promotions/ are of more interest to you 🙂
