<<“Slowpoke, high end restaurants and art museums aren’t something my 6
year old would handle very well, neither are art museums. But thanks”>>
Good. Now we know some things that are not “worth it.” Any things that particularly interest you?
Here are some things that might be “worth it” for a six year old.
A six year old might like the Zeughauskeller, because of the atmosphere…….hard to say what is in the mind of a 6pyear old, except that they seem to get bored with scenery pretty fast. They have a couple of dozen kinds of sausages….can’t remember if that includes hotdogs:

I tried to find their menu, and was reminded that I wanted “the card”; die Karte or die Speisekart – the food card. When I ran into a “menu” it was used in the normal style for Switzerland…..it was a special meal for the day or the month. A search with Google will turn up lots of pictures. I could not find the full menu; I only got fractions of pages.
A traditional and famous sausage stand is at Bellevue ( the name of a tram stop) not far from the NIederdorf:

It is right at the Bellevue tram stop.
Now they have reopened a restaurant, up stairs, too.
My 8 year old granddaughter loved riding on the upper decks of the common double-decker trains, and actually, spent a significant portion of her time looking out. Not that the electronic thing in her hand was ever out of sight for long.
Maybe a short ride on one of the boats that start at the Landesmuseum in Zürich would be interesting.

That site links to Google Maps, whch shows ” Ferry terminals” if you look along the shore line.

I did not find a map showing the exact route.
But, you can get on at the Landesmuseum stop and ride as far as Bürkliplatz,

or out onto the lake to Zürichhorn where the casino is. You can get on and of at several places, including one for the Niederdorf near the Rathausbrücke, called Zürich Limmatquai.
The zoo is small but nice, a short walk from the end of the number 6 tram line, on the Zürichberg up above the city.

Will you be in Luzern? Attached is a page from a photobook that I made to document our trip. The Lion fascinated her.
