ATM machines in Lauterbrunnen Switzerland

Short summary – read this first

Jakay is looking for ATM machines in Switzerland to withdraw Swiss francs using a bank debit card without incurring high fees. They are particularly interested in options near their base in Lauterbrunnen, apart from banks and railway stations.

Key takeaways:
  • Lauterbrunnen has several ATMs, including those from Raiffeisen bank and Bank EKI, which are convenient for tourists.
  • Swiss Post also has a good network of ATMs throughout Switzerland, especially in tourist areas.
  • For specific ATM locations, check the website map.search.ch for detailed listings in the region.

    Hi,

Where to find the nearest ATM machines in Switzerland where I can withdraw Swiss franks using my bank debit card and do not pay higher exchange rates and fees. I assume most big railway stations will have ATM machines and in most towns I can go to a bank to withdraw money. But if a bank is far, can you recommend any other place which has ATM machines, specially near my base town Lauterbrunnen?

    Hello Jakay,

Apart from banks and the larger railway stations you mention the Swiss Post company also provides quite a nice network of ATMs. Normally places which are of touristic interest, like Lauterbrunnen, will for sure provide at least one ATM, normally more.

I found below page via google and according to it, in Lauterbrunnen you will mainly find the Raiffeisen bank and the Bank EKI.

All villages of a reasonable size will have at least one bank or post office with an ATM

    Hi Jakay –

<<“But if a bank is far, can you recommend any other place which has ATM machines, specially near my base town Lauterbrunnen?”>>

Some people joke that Switzerland has a bank on every corner.

Mapsearch.ch shows ATM locations, if you work the menus under “points of Interest.”
