Luggage size limit on boats on Lake of Thun

Short summary – read this first

A traveler named Laucs1124 is planning a cruise on Lake Thun with a friend and wants to know about luggage size restrictions for the boat. They are considering bringing one 26" and one 29" suitcase and are looking for reassurance about what they can take on board.

Key takeaways:
  • You can take reasonably sized luggage on the Lake Thun cruise without any issues.
  • Some older boats may have storage areas for luggage, so don’t worry about carrying it all.
  • Make sure your luggage is not too heavy for your comfort during the cruise.

Swiss lake boats are a means of A – B transportation, not just for tourists. No reasonable accompanied luggage is ever refused (and some old vessels will have a luggage storage area)

Hello Laucs1124 and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

As said by 1960man you will be allowed to take your luggage on board of the boat on Lake Thun, no worries. For your own comfort I hope it’s not too heavy, though.
