    Hi Mandy,

Indeed a small amount of cash (CHF 50 or so) is handy for the occasional place that doesn’t take cards or for very small purchases. Cards are widely accepted. I haven’t found a place yet where my Wise card didn’t work. The card prevents excessive banking fees too. It is discussed here: https://www.myswissalps.com/planning/practical/swiss-franc/. If you want to be absolutely sure to never run into a card problem, a bigger amount of cash (e.g. to pay for a dinner or cableway ticket) is an option of course. I usually do so and end up with quite a lot of leftover cash for my next trip.
