Self-guided train excursion to Gruyeres + Broc with Swiss Travel Pass
A traveler named Ramila is planning to visit Montreux from May 21-24 and is considering whether to buy a chocolate and Gruyere cheese train tour ticket. She's curious if it's worth it or if she can take a regular train instead to visit the attractions.
- Using the Swiss Travel Pass allows you to travel to Montbovon and then switch to a train for Gruyeres without needing a tour ticket.
- After visiting the cheese factory, spend time exploring the medieval town of Gruyeres, which is a short walk from the train station.
- If you enjoy chocolate, consider visiting the Maison Cailler chocolate factory in Broc, which is also close by and can be part of your trip.

Hello,
I have a swiss travel pass and was wondering if it is worth me buying a chocolate/gruyere cheese train tour ticket or would it be the same to just go on a regular train (if that is even possible). I am planning to do this while I am in Montreux May 21-24.
Thank you
