Hi, We’ll be based in Lucerne for a few days and have planned a day trip to Bern; however, I’m thinking that we probably don’t need an entire day in Bern and was looking for some suggestions as to what else we can fit into that day. Already planned Golden Pass to Montreux and Golden Round trip to Pilatus for other days. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

For Bern, please see http://www.myswissalps.com/be rn. Apart from things to see/do in the city, you could visit the Kambly visitor center in Trubschachen, which is half way between Lucerne and Bern on a scenic train route: kambly.com/en/kambly-experience/.
