Downloading tickets to SBB mobile app?

Short summary – read this first

A traveler named Shurbank35 is looking for a way to add tickets purchased on a computer to the SBB mobile app. They received advice that this isn't possible for tickets bought as a guest, but there are alternatives to access their tickets on mobile. The traveler seemed appreciative of the insights shared.

Key takeaways:
  • To view your tickets in the SBB mobile app, create an account on sbb.ch before making a purchase and log in when buying tickets.
  • If you bought tickets as a guest, they will only be accessible as PDF documents, not in the app.
  • Consider storing the PDF of your tickets on your phone or in a wallet app that supports PDF imports.

    Hi Shurbank35,

I’m quite sure that is not possible. If you purchased your tickets already they should have been delivered as a PDF document. So, you can easily store them on your phone: as a regular file, or send them to your e-mail/WhatsApp and access it that way. There may even be wallet apps that allow PDFs to be imported. Personally I just store it as a file, similar to anything I’ve downloaded.

    Enjoy your trip(s)!

To view your tickets in the app, you have to create an account on sbb. ch before buying tickets. Make sure your are logged-in during purchase. Open the SBB Mobile app and log in with the same credentials; your tickets are also displayed in the app.

However, you cannot add/view tickets that were bought as guest; they can only be displayed as PDF, as Arno said.

Thank you both. That is what I thought. I just figured I would ask if it’s possible.
