You have to have a detailed itinerary and do some calculations to figure that out.

Generally the Swiss Travel Pass offers better coverage within Switzerland than the Eurail Global Pass. But it really depends what you are doing in Switzerland and how much train travel you are doing in other European countries.

    Read about the respective coverages at http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/validity and http://www.myswissalps.com/eu railglobalpass/validit y.

Once you have worked out your detailed itinerary you should read “How to choose the best travel pass” (http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/ticketspasses/prac tical/chooserailpass), download the handy spreadsheet calculator and do the math.

I did comparison between Eurail Pass and Swiss Pass. Eurail Pass doesn’t provide free boat ride, subway, bus, museum access on travel days. I could be wrong.

    Hi,

Wow that is a great trip you are planning!

As Rockoyster already mentioned, you should build an itinerary with the exact number of days to figure out which travel pass will work best for you. Here is more information on how to do that:

I see from your other post though that you already have some idea of what you want to do in Switzerland. So have a look at the Eurail coverage versus the Swiss Travel Pass coverage and you can decide based on that.

    Good luck planning your trip!

    Maria.

Have a look at the validity links I posted earlier and compare what is covered by each pass with your itinerary. The benefit of the Eurail Pass only kicks in if you do a lot of travel in other parts of Europe. We only cover advice on Swiss Travel. 🤓
