    Hello Prabha, welcome to MySwissAlps!

Yes, it is possible to choose one base town only and make day trips from there. However, traveling times shouldn’t be underestimated and you can’t expect to cover all of Switzerland that way. It’s more realistic to focus on one or two regions only if you prefer to stay in one town. If you want to see more of the country, you should pick two or three base towns instead.

It’s best to first decide what you’d like to explore (http://www.myswissalps.com/ac tivities), and then choose where to stay (http://www.myswissalps.com/wh eretogo). Our general planning tips (http://www.myswissalps.com/pl antrip/doityourself) and the timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) will be of help too. Once you have a tentative itinerary, please feel free to post it here, so that we can help you out with specific issues.
