With regards to train passes, I know there isn’t any cost advantage to purchasing early, but would you recommend buying my one-way tickets from Geneva to Paris in advance? My friends have purchased Paris tickets once they arrived in Geneva but I wasn’t sure if tickets for this route sell out due to popularity. I’d also be going on a weekday so perhaps less crowded.

Geneva to Paris is a French TGV high speed train – operated by the Lyria joint venture.

As on most if not all European inter-city trains nowadays you should book as far in advance as possible for the cheapest fares.
