Hi, I am working on my contingency plan.

Just want to make sure I understand it correctly, there are Goldpass train and non-golden pass train between Zeisimmen – Montreux and they travel exactly the same track, only difference is the physical train itself.

Reason for asking is in case I am unable to reserve seat on the Golden Pass train and unable to get on, I still have the normal train option.

    Thank you for your help.

    Correct!

I didn’t catch on your other posts when you are traveling here? June is still fairly quiet and unless a big group/tour books seat reservations you should be ok.

You can make reservations 90 days out so if you know your travel date I’d do it right away.
But if not there are plenty of trains going that route everyday.

On the timetable: https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable the trains labeled MOB Panoramic are what you want (click on the train departure to see). The others are regional trains.
