Grindelwald-First Cliff Walk: how long/difficult?
A traveler is currently in Engelberg and plans to visit the First Cliff Walk later this week. They want to know how strenuous the climb is and how long the entire round trip will take since they're concerned about their stamina. The Cliff Walk is designed to be easy and quick to complete, making it suitable for those with less strength in their legs.
- The First Cliff Walk is not a strenuous hike; it’s an elevated walkway that can be completed in about 10 minutes.
- You will take a gondola to reach the Cliff Walk area, making the access easy.
- If you have concerns about stamina, the walk is suitable for those who may tire easily.

We are here, currently in Engelberg. Planning on going to First later this week and doing the Cliff Walk. Question: How strenuous is the climb to the Cliff Walk itself? I have read elsewhere that there is a climb involved. And, from the access point to the return, how long would this take, start to finish (essentially)? We ask because legs are not the strongest and get weary after awhile. Thanks.
