Interlaken to Paris with Swiss Travel Pass, route?
A traveler, Ydwivedi, is planning a trip from Interlaken to Paris over four days. They want to confirm that their Swiss Travel Pass will cover the train ride from Interlaken to Basel and are looking for any faster options to reach Paris, as they're switching trains.
- Your Swiss Travel Pass covers the journey from Interlaken to Basel, so no extra ticket is needed for that leg.
- Use the SBB website or mobile app to check for faster train connections from Interlaken to Paris.
- The chosen route with a transfer at Basel is already one of the fastest options available.

I have 4 days STP, on the 4th day from Interlaken, i am travelling to Paris using
1. SBB IC61 (1071 direction Basel SBB) at 16:30 hours
2.Basel to Paris Gare de Lyon using TGV 9230 at 21:37
My understanding is that Interlaken to Basel leg is covered under STP (no additional ticket required). I need to purchase ticket from Basel to Paris. Is that correct?
This is little over 5 hours journey switching 2 trains. Is there faster train option available around 16 hours from Interlaken to Paris?
