    Hi Ray2323,

In terms of coverage, the Zurich 9 o’clock day pass (all zones) covers a larger transportation network than the Zurich Card CIty Pass.

You can use the Zurich 9 o’clock day pass to travel to Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall to visit the Rhinefalls. To avoid paying surcharges, I recommend you follow the S-Bahn routes (S12, S24 and S13).  This day pass is also valid on the train to Uetliberg and the cable car from Felsenegg to Adliswil. Boat rides on the Limmat and cruises on the lakes are also covered.

The Zurich Card City Pass does not include free travelling to the Rhinefalls. You will have to pay for a zone upgrade. But it is valid on the train to Uetliberg and the cable car from Felsenegg to Adliswil, boat trips on the Limmat and short mini lake cruises on Lake Zurich. You can download the Zurich City Guide App and get an interactive map to help you get around with the city pass. This is a product offered by Zurich Tourism and includes extra benefits such as free or discounted admission to museums and other places of interests.

    Hope this helps.
