Jungfrau Travel Pass says anonymous, is that okay?

Short summary – read this first

A traveler named dgilp is unsure about their Jungfrau Travel Pass, which doesn't have their name on it and just says 'anonymous'. They want to know if this will cause any issues when using the ticket. Anna, a member of the forum, assures them that it should be fine since they purchased it from the official website.

Key takeaways:
  • If your Jungfrau Travel Pass says 'anonymous', it's still valid and can be used without issues.
  • Check if you need to exchange your ticket for a physical pass at a local rail station, depending on where you bought it.
  • If you're uncertain about your ticket, contacting Jungfrau customer service can provide clarity.

    Hello all,

I’m not sure if anyone have the same issue like me, I just purchased tickets for the Jungfrau region pass and it did not let me have an option to put my name on the ticket, so my ticket just says anonymous, anonymous. Did anyone here have the same issue? did it cause you any problems when you show your ticket? Thank you.

    Hi dgilp,

Depending on where you purchased your Jungfrau Travel Pass, you may have received a voucher that needs to be exchanged for the actual Jungfrau Travel Pass at a local rail station. That’s the case if you buy through https://www.happyrail.com/en/pass/europe/switzerland/jungfrau-travel-pass for example.

I advise to check the info of the vendor you bought from. In case of doubt, you can best contact them directly.

Hi, I bought it in their main website. Even though I’m log in to my account while I was purchasing the ticket, it did not gave me any option to put my name on it, and it just went straight to payments.

    Hi dgilp.

It should be fine if you bought it directly from the official Jungfrau website. Just like a normal ticket, a name is not required. But you can always contact Jungfrau customer service for clarification.

    Regards,

    Anna
